Several people have been asking me why I recommend WordPress over other platforms. If you know me, you know that I’m a software engineer, so coding a website straight in php does not scare me a bit. And that’s because I know a lot about coding that I chose WordPress for my clients.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Why re-invent the wheel and charge my clients for it when there is a free tool out there that provides a great framework?<\/p>\n

I’m not saying that the other platforms are necessarily bad, they are just not giving you all that WordPress can give you. So here we go, my top 10 reasons why I think it’s better to choose WordPress when you’re an entrepreneur looking to build a website.<\/p>\n

Reason #1:<\/span> WordPress is a stable, free platform that has been around for 10 years<\/p>\n

Reason #2:<\/span> WordPress is used by over 20% of online websites<\/p>\n

Reason #3:<\/span> There is a large community of do-it yourselfers that help each other<\/p>\n

Reason #4:<\/span> There are over 20,000 free plugins to add functionalities to your site<\/p>\n

Reason #5:<\/span> Google loves WordPress! many themes come already SEO optimized<\/p>\n

Reason #6:<\/span>\u00a0My clients don’t need to know any coding to manage you content (add pages, images and posts)<\/p>\n

Reason #7:<\/span> there are tons or templates to choose from if you don’t want to hire a designer<\/p>\n

Reason #8:<\/span> WordPress is constantly evolving in terms of speed, security, you’ll never achieve that level of quality with a custom built site unless you’re willing to pay top $$$$, and you won’t have control over the site, you will always need someone that you’ll pay to make the tiniest change<\/p>\n

Reason #9:<\/span> There are tons of free and paid tutorials online for DIY<\/p>\n

Reason #10:<\/span>\u00a0This is the only free platform that gives you full control over your website<\/p>\n

And here is one more! You get to be able to use tools like searchditto<\/a> and boost your SEO<\/a> especially if you have a podcast<\/p>\n
