Hi,
This post is going to be about the Revisions feature of WordPress. I realized that many WordPress users have no idea that it even exists. the Revisions features basically allows you to go back to automatically saved versions of your posts or pages.
By default, that feature is not visible on your dashboard, that’s the reason why people don’t know about it.
If you want to turn on that feature, go to add Post, then click on the up right corner on “Screen Options”.
Unless you are using a specific theme or plugin that would overwrite these options, you should see something that says “Revisions”, check the check box then scroll down to the bottom and you should see the revisions.
When you write a new post or create a new page, WordPress will automatically save it every 2 minutes. Keep in mind that there is only 1 autosave that is stored for each post or page. So each autosave overwrites the previous one. If you want to keep revisions then you need to manually click Save Draft, and that will automatically save that version of the post or page.
